Founded by Dr David Gunn and Dr Brendan Cronin, Focus Vision is a dedicated corneal and refractive surgery practice, co-located with the Queensland Eye Institute. The CAIRSPlan team operates from the same building.

Focus Vision is a subspecialist clinic — Dr Gunn and Dr Cronin perform corneal, cataract, laser vision and keratoconus surgery, and only that. Patients see the same surgeon from initial consultation to long-term follow-up.
The practice is the first and only clinic in Queensland to offer ray-tracing LASIK. The laser suite is housed in an accredited day hospital — the only laser suite in Queensland to do so — meaning surgical-grade theatres, recovery and infection control standards.
Co-location with the Queensland Eye Institute — Queensland's largest independent ophthalmology research group — keeps the practice connected to current research and gives patients access to the broader QEI team for non-corneal subspecialty care.

For patients outside the laser range or with corneal contraindications.
Premium cataract surgery
Laser-assisted cataract surgery with multifocal, EDOF and toric IOLs.
Refractive lens exchange

Cross-linking, the Athens Protocol, and CAIRS — with same-team continuity from diagnosis through to long-term follow-up.
